NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A robber tackled a man into a Bronx fruit stand and then beat him up and stole his sneakers, police said Thursday.

The NYPD released wild video showing the thief chasing the 42-year-old victim across the street and tackling him into the fruit stand at Jerome Avenue and Evelyn Place in Fordham Heights on the morning of Aug. 29.
The attack sent fruit rolling onto the pavement before the two men struggled on the sidewalk and a crowd gathered, video shows.
The victim was punched repeatedly in the face by the thief, who stole his shoes as well as his helmet and motorcycle key, police said.
The victim was treated by EMS at the scene.
