NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A 65-year-old woman was punched in the face, thrown to the ground and beaten by a man on a Brooklyn subway train, police said Wednesday.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows the suspect who's wanted in the July 11 attack near the Newkirk Plaza station in Flatbush.

The woman was on a southbound Q train approaching the station around 4:15 a.m. when she and her attacker got into a dispute, it's unclear about what.

During the confrontation, the man punched her in the face and threw her to the ground, where he kicked her multiple times, police said.

He fled at the Newkirk Plaza stop and was last seen headed northbound on East 16th Street, according to police.

EMS transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
