Suspect bashes man, 41, in head with bottle inside Bronx subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday released a photo of a suspect wanted for hitting a man with a glass bottle inside a Bronx subway station last week.

Just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, the suspect and 41-year-old man were engaged in a brief conversation, inside the Third Avenue–138th Street 6 station in Mott Haven, officials said.

The suspect then took a glass bottle and struck the victim in the right side of his head and then fled in an unknown direction, authorities said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The suspect was last seen wearing a white tank top, black shorts, and carrying a black backpack.
