NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 70-year-old woman was found dead with body trauma in her Queens home—and police reportedly believe her husband, who has dementia and doesn't recall what happened, may have beaten her to death.

Officers responding to a 911 call for a wellness check around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday found Gisele Dangervil unresponsive at her home at 148th Road and 253rd Street in Rosedale, police said.

Dangervil had trauma to her head and body, according to police. She was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Police said her death is being investigated as a homicide.

A 77-year-old man, described by police as a person of interest, was taken into custody.

According to the Daily News, the man is the victim’s dementia-stricken husband who has no recollection of what happened. He wasn’t immediately charged.

There’s reportedly no record of domestic violence between the couple.
