UNPROVOKED ATTACK: Man tackles woman, 75, to ground on busy Queens street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man tackled a 75-year-old woman at random on a busy Queens street this week, leaving her hospitalized, police said Thursday as they released video of a suspect.

The victim was in front of a business on Queens Boulevard, near 77th Avenue, in Forest Hills at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was attacked in broad daylight.

Police said the man came up and tackled her to the ground for no apparent reason. He then fled the area on foot.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where she was being treated for facial and neck injuries.
