NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Thursday arrested an attacker accused of slapping a woman in the face then hurling anti-Black insults at her on a Brooklyn street last month.

Linette Difrancesco, 54, is facing assault and hate crime charges, the NYPD said.

According to officials, at around 6 p.m. on March 30, Difrancesco went on a racist diatribe and hit a 50-year-old woman in the face at Kings Highway and Avenue O in Midwood.

The victim was leaving work when the assailant called her a "Black piece of s***" and struck her with an open hand, authorities told the Daily News.

The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force was investigating the unprovoked assault as an anti-Black hate crime.
