NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 66-year-old woman was dragged to the floor by a purse snatcher on a Staten Island bus last Monday, police said.
According to police, the victim was on the moving S51 MTA bus traveling eastbound on Bay Street around 9:30 p.m. when she was approached by her assailant.
He grabbed her purse and proceeded to drag the victim on the floor.
The suspect was able to successfully remove the purse, which contained cash, credit cards and other miscellaneous items, police said,
He fled off the bus at Vanderbilt Avenue and Bay Street and was last seen traveling westbound on Bay Street on foot.
The victim sustained swelling throughout the body as a result and sought medical attention by private means.
