NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the death of a 78-year-old found inside her Queens home on Wednesday with injuries to her face, authorities said.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., police responded to 911 call of an aided, unconscious individual inside of 91-30 91st St. in Woodhaven.
Upon arrival, officers observed Luz Porras unconscious and unresponsive at the first floor at the bottom of a stairway area, with trauma to the face.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the aided female deceased at the scene.
An investigation remains ongoing and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
