NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police a have a woman in custody after a man was found fatally stabbed inside a Bronx housing complex building overnight Saturday, authorities said.
At 10:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a man stabbed inside of the Highbridge Garden Houses located at 1145 University Ave. in Highbridge, officials said.
Upon arrival, officers observed 37-year-old John Levestone with a stab wound to his torso in the hallway of the building.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals-Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.
Crystal Fryson, 34, was taken into custody at the scene, the NYPD said.
She was later charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
