NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- An argument between two women on a Bronx subway train ended with one of them pepper-sprayed in the face, police said Friday as they searched for her attacker.

The 30-year-old victim was riding a northbound 5 train at the East 180th Street station in the Van Nest section at 11:40 p.m. Sunday when a woman wearing a flower dress and carrying a folding chair got into an argument with her.

During the altercation, the suspect whipped out pepper spray and blasted the victim in the face with it, according to police.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS.

The suspect fled on another train and was last on surveillance video leaving the Burke Avenue station, police said.

She's believed to be about 25 years old and has red hair and tattoos on the left side of her chest.
