
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a group of men who have been robbing Manhattan delivery workers as they make their early-morning deliveries.
The first robbery took place on May 12 just before 5 a.m. A 51-year-old man was making a delivery on Sixth Avenue near West 14th Street in the West Village, officials said.
Two men pulled guns on him and beat him up before taking his cell phone and $1,120. The robbers fled in a gray Honda HRV SUV.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
The next day around 5:15 a.m., three men robbed a 73-year-old delivery man who was sitting on the back of his truck in Chelsea on West 18th Street near 10th Avenue, according to authorities.
The trio held the man at gunpoint, hit him multiple times and stole $700 from his wallet. They fled in the same gray Honda.
The victim’s injuries were treated at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.
On May 23 around 5:20 a.m., three men robbed a 69-year-old man making a delivery on West 46th Street near Eighth Avenue in Midtown, police said.
The men demanded his property and beat him before taking his wallet with about $90 in it. The robbers fled in a red Acura TLX four door sedan.
The victim refused medical attention on the scene.
