NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD's Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating a fatal car crash in the Bronx early Saturday morning.
At approximately 4:40 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision at Bronx River Parkway at Westchester Avenue in Longwood.
Preliminary investigation determined that a 2021 Toyota RAV 4 operated by 30-year-old Adelina Martiniano was traveling southbound on the Bronx River Parkway when she struck a tow truck that was on the shoulder of the road.
Martiniano was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
