NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 47-year-old woman was injured after falling onto the tracks of a Brooklyn subway station during an alleged drunken fight early Sunday, police said.
The incident happened at the Jay Street-Borough Hall subway station around 12:15 a.m., according to officials.
The woman instigated a fight with another woman who is believed to be in her 20s, the New York Post reported.
During the fight, the woman fell onto the tracks but she did not come in contact with the third nor a train, authorities said.
Emergency responders transported the woman to Brooklyn Hospital in stable condition. Police are searching for the other woman who fled the scene. It’s unclear what caused the woman to fall onto the tracks.
