NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are looking to identify a woman who spat on then punched a senior after he attempted to stop a dispute inside a Manhattan subway station, authorities said.
The incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. on Christmas Eve inside of the West 4th Street subway station in Greenwich Village, when the suspect spit on a 69-year-old man after he told her to stop arguing with another elderly female passenger.

The victim tried to grab the suspect after she spat on him and she then punched him in the forehead, the NYPD said.
The suspect fled out of the station to the street, police said.
The victim suffered a cut to his forehead and EMS transported to Lennox Health Greenwich Village in stable condition, officials said.

The suspect is described as a female, Hispanic, approximately 25 years old, 5'2", with orange-colored tips in her hair. She was last seen wearing a black coat, blue pants and white sneakers.
