NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was spit on and punched in the face in an unprovoked attack at a Brooklyn subway station this week, police said Thursday as they released images of the suspect.

The 26-year-old victim was inside the Halsey Street L-line station in Bushwick on Tuesday evening when her attacker walked up at 5:45 p.m. and spit in her face.

The assailant then punched her in the face before fleeing the station, according to cops.

EMS transported the victim to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
