
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman was stabbed by a stranger in an unprovoked attack in Midtown last week, police said.
The NYPD released an image Wednesday of the suspect in the daytime assault.
The 61-year-old victim was walking in front of the Brooklyn Diner on West 57th Street on March 1 around 3:37 p.m. when she was approached by the assailant.
Police said the man stabbed the woman, leaving her with a laceration to her right arm.
The victim was transported to Mount Sinai West Hospital in stable condition.
According to police, the suspect fled northbound on Broadway to parts unknown.
