NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A missing Brooklyn woman with developmental disabilities is still being sought nearly a week after her disappearance, police said Friday.

Samantha Primus, 47, was last seen leaving Queens General Hospital after being discharged around 1:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.

She was last seen by her family around 3:30 a.m. Friday at a home in Elmont, where she was staying with her sister, WABC reported. She left the home sometime between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. that morning.

Primus, who is deaf, mute and has limited sign language ability, normally lives with her mother in Brooklyn and doesn't go anywhere without a family member, according to the report.

Hours after she disappeared in Elmont, Primus was spotted around 8 p.m. Friday more than three miles away at 190th Street and Hillside Avenue in Queens.

Primus, who is deaf, mute, and has limited sign language ability, was reportedly staying in Elmont with her sister Joanna Peck and her family for a few days when she left between 4 and 5 a.m. on Dec. 23.

A paramedic who saw a missing flier later recalled responding to a call there for someone in need of help and taking her to Queens Hospital Center that evening, according to the report.

She hasn’t been seen since she walked out of the hospital.

Hospital staff reportedly thought she was homeless and gave her directions to local shelters.

"They thought she was homeless, so they gave her a list of shelters to go to," her sister, Joanna Peck, told WABC. "Someone that's non-verbal. She cannot read. I mean she cannot read, she's not verbal, she doesn't know how to navigate the system. The buses or public transportation. How could you send her away?"

Primus is 5 feet 3 inches tall and 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, the NYPD said.

She was last seen wearing a navy-blue coat, pink hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
