The random attack on the first woman happened around 7:15 a.m. Monday as she was walking down a staircase at the Woodlawn Station in the Norwood section of the Bronx.

Police said a man who was in front of the 46-year-old victim turned around and punched her in the face for no reason. He then fled on foot.

The woman suffered pain, swelling and a laceration to her lips. She refused medical attention.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspect wearing a bright yellow jacket at a pizza shop on Jerome Avenue.

The second attack was at the Court Square station in Long Island City around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police said a woman snatched a cellphone from another woman and punched her in the face in a robbery.

A 37-year-old man tried to help the victim when another man came up and slashed him in the wrist with a sharp object, police said.

The man who was slashed was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition. The condition of the woman who was punched was unclear.

The two suspects fled the scene. The NYPD released images of them Friday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
