Women punched, slapped in unprovoked Bronx subway attacks, suspect at large

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Friday released video of a man who they said violently assaulted two women in separate random attacks while aboard Bronx subway trains earlier this month.

The first incident happened at approximately 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 19, inside the Brook Avenue station on the 6 line in Mott Haven officials said.

A 38-year-old was exiting the station when the suspect approached her and punched her in the head unprovoked.

The individual then fled the station on foot towards Brown Place. The victim sustained injuries to her face and refused medical attention.

The second incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20, while aboard a southbound 6 train approaching the Hunts Point Train Station.

A 24-year-old woman was seated inside the train car when she was approached by the suspect who struck her in the face with an open hand unprovoked then fled the train at the Hunts Point Train Station to parts unknown, police said.

The victim sustained injuries to her face and refused medical attention.
