According to police, Anthony Yates, 54, entered Its Lit Smoke Shop, located on Jamaica Avenue, with two other suspects on Feb. 5 around 6:15 a.m. and forced a 36-year-old worker into a back room.
While in the back room, Yates allegedly threatened to shoot the victim and then placed him in handcuffs.
He restrained the victim, according to the police, as the other suspects loaded a large bag with assorted store merchandise, cash from the safe and money from the cash register.
The three suspects fled in a waiting car being operated by a fourth suspect to an unknown location.
Yates was arrested Friday on East 30th Street and has been charged with second-degree robbery and unlawful imprisonment, police said.
