JERSEY CITY, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A man was shot 10 times by people who jumped out of a BMW and chased him into an alley on Forrest Street in Jersey City on Wednesday night, police said.
The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. between Martin Luther King Drive and Bergen Avenue.
A witness told police that they heard one of the men say "That’s him. That’s him," as they were chasing him down the alley, according to radio transmissions, NJ.com reported.
Police found numerous shell casings on Forrest Avenue.
The BMW, which is suspected to be stolen, was later recovered in Newark.
The victim was in critical condition on Wednesday night according to NJ.com.
