Man fatally shot by NJ officer responding to dispute

LAURENCE HARBOR, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally shot by an officer who was called to the scene on Monday afternoon, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office announced.

Just after 3 p.m., police responded to a 911 call over a dispute on Woodland Avenue in Laurence Harbor.

According to officials, only one officer was involved in the incident.

The man who was shot was taken to Old Bridge Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

There was no further information released and an investigation is ongoing.
