
NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — One man was killed and another wounded in a Newark shooting early Monday, authorities said.
Jamid Hardgrove, 22, of Newark, was found shot around 12:10 a.m. in the 100 block of Riverview Court, according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé.
Hardgrove was pronounced dead at University Hospital at at 1:02 a.m.
The other victim was transferred to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Stephens and Fragé said. He has not been identified at this time.
