NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Jersey City Police fatally shot a man early Wednesday after he allegedly shot a woman during an apparent domestic incident.
Sources told NBC 4 that officers chased the man to Communipaw and West Side Avenues following the initial shooting, which left the victim in serious condition, where he turned his gun on officers and started shooting.

It was not clear if officers tracked the suspect down by foot or vehicle, sources told the outlet.
A cop then returned fire, killing the suspect around 12:30 a.m.
The state attorney general's office is leading the investigation into the incident, as is protocol in police-involved shootings.
