Biden to visit NYC, Pennsylvania, and Virginia to commemorate 9/11 attacks

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — President Joe Biden will travel to New York City on Sept. 11 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, the White House announced Saturday.

Biden will also visit the other sites of the attacks on the same day in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, according to the White House.

Vice President Kamala Harris will meet Biden in Shanksville, while the first lady, Jill, is scheduled to attend at the Pentagon event.

The president will also make an appearance in Queens earlier in the week, on Sept. 7, to survey the flood damage from the devastating Ida storm.
