
VERONA, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey car wash worker was seriously injured Sunday when a car veered off the road and struck him as he worked on another car, police said.
The 75-year-old driver was driving east on Bloomfield Avenue when he lost control of his car and hit the worker in the front driveway of Quality Car Care shortly before 5 p.m., Verona police told NJ.com.
Police said he then slammed into two other cars as well as a utility pole.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
