BERGEN, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Two men attacked and robbed a man after following him from a store where he bought a lottery ticket and was returning to his warehouse job in New Jersey on Thursday, police said.

Co-workers called 911 around 3 p.m. and cops arrived at the scene in Bergen where they found a 66-year-old victim lying in the parking lot near the warehouse in Glen Rock. The victim was beaten and his wallet stolen, according to police Chief Dean Ackermann.
“Just prior to the robbery, the victim, who was in possession of a large amount of cash, had purchased lottery tickets at a nearby Maple Avenue convenience store,” Ackermann said in a statement.
The victim was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with minor injuries.
Security cameras show two men watching the victim as he buys the lottery ticket from the store and then following him in their black Ford Escape, with no front license plate, police said.
The passenger in car and main attacker was a man in his 20s, wearing a gray Buffalo Bills T-shirt, black Puma hat and black pants. The driver, also a man in his 20s, wore a red, blue and white hat, black T-shirt with an orange Levi’s logo, blue jeans and had tattoos on both forearms.

Police from Glen Rock, assisted by officers from Fair Lawn, Hawthorne, and New Jersey Transit, searched the area with the help of a Bergen County sheriff’s K-9, but the suspects were not found.
