NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey school bus driver was arrested for allegedly driving drunk with kids on the bus Friday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Juan Gonzalez, 51, was driving children to the Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne when he slammed into a parked car near McBride Avenue and Squirrelwood Road in Woodland Park, officials said.

He left the crash before police could arrive, and authorities later determined he was likely under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

No one was injured in the crash.

Prosecutors charged Gonzalez with 42 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
