GLEN COVE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn-based rapper was arraigned Friday on reduced charges stemming from a shooting at a private Long Island pool party last year that injured three people.
Fetty Luciano, whose real name is Remy Marshall, was initially charged with attempted murder and other crimes in the July 10, 2022, shooting at The Mansion at Glen Cove.
He was instead charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of second-degree assault, second-degree attempted assault, three counts of third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Luciano, 27, pleaded not guilty. The rapper, a member of the GS9 hip-hop group, was released on $200,000 cash or $400,000 bond.
According to prosecutors, Marshall got into an argument with someone attending the private pool party. Marshall left the hotel lobby, only to return seconds later to approach the same partygoer. He then allegedly attempted to pistol-whip the man in the head with a gun, which discharged, striking three people with a single bullet.
"This defendant allegedly brought a loaded gun into a crowded private event and, during an altercation, discharged the weapon and struck three victims," said Nassau County District Attorney Donnelly.
One of the victims was shot in the shoulder. The remaining victims were hit in the leg and elbow. Each was treated and released from the hospital.
Luciano, who lives in Queens, was arrested by the Glen Cove Police Department 11 days later.
He is due back in court on March 31 and faces up to 15 years in prison.
