CALVERTON, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in a dispute among two groups of teens Wednesday afternoon on Long Island , Suffolk County police said.
The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m., Preston Gamble was involved in an altercation between two groups of teenagers outside of a unit at the Calverton Hills condominium community on Hill Rise Drive, according officials.
Gamble was transported by family to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead where he was pronounced dead.
Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting.
