Teen girl killed, 3 boys injured, 1 critically, in LI crash

OLD BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating a fatal car accident that left one teen dead and 3 others injured on Long Island early Sunday morning, authorities said.

At about 3:37 a.m., a 2008 Nissan was traveling westbound on Chicken Valley Road in Old Brookville when the 16-year-old gir driving the car lost control and struck a tree near the intersection of Brookville Lane, detectives said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County Police Medic.

The three other male occupants in the vehicle, ages 14, 15 and 16 were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

The 16-year-old boy is currently in critical condition. The other occupants are both in stable condition.

The investigation remains ongoing.
