NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Suffolk County officials are investigating a house fire that killed an 82-year-old woman Wednesday night, authorities said.
At approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to reports of a house fire on Van Buren Street in West Babylon.

After firefighters extinguished the fire, the body of an 82-year-old woman was found.
The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, officials said.
A preliminary investigation determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature.
