MINEOLA, N.Y. (WCBS 880) -- A woman was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds during a wellness check at a high-end apartment building on Long Island over the weekend, Nassau County police said.

The 39-year-old victim was discovered at The Allure Mineola on Old Country Road in Mineola around 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
She suffered from “apparent gunshot wounds” and was pronounced dead at the scene by a county medic, police said.
Authorities haven’t identified the woman or released any additional details about the circumstances surrounding her death.
