Zach Wilson has been named the NFL’s Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the Jets announced on Thursday afternoon.
Wilson and Gang Green fell short against the Eagles on Sunday, but the No. 2 overall pick showed plenty of promise, completing 23 of 38 passes for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The rookie got off to a strong start, with both of his touchdowns and 108 of his passing yards coming in the first half.
Wilson’s strong performance help the Jets score touchdowns on their first three drives of the game, the first time New York has accomplished that feat all season.
Wilson last won the award after his Week 4 performance against the Titans, when he threw for 297 yards with a pair of touchdowns.
