Devin Singletary is reportedly staying in New York.

According to multiple reports, including NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Giants and their third-string running back have agreed to a restructured contract in the form of a pay cut, lightening the cap hit that Big Blue was set to take to keep Singletary next season.

Singletary was initially slated to make $5 million in 2026 and carry a $6.5 million cap hit. The 28-year-old was entering the final year of a three-year, $16.5 million contract.

A reliable pass blocker out of the backfield, Singletary rushed for 437 yards in 17 games last season, and logged 151 receiving yards. He saw more time after Cam Skattebo's season-ending ankle injury, though he is expected to be behind Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy on the depth chart this season.

The surprise restructuring agreement called into question the validity that the Giants could be looking to make a big addition to their backfield in the form of free agent Kenneth Walker III or Notre Dame standout Jeremiyah Love with the No. 5 overall pick. But given the total payday for Singletary, Tracy, and Skattebo, the Giants would still be able to make a notable addition while avoiding a sizable percentage of the salary cap being allocated to one position.
