DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to terms with linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, bringing the veteran back on a two-year deal, according to multiple reports.

The deal will pay Vander Esch an average of $11 million over two years, with the first year guaranteed.

Vander Esch is coming off of a big bounce back year for the Cowboys, in which he finished with 90 tackles - the second most of his career -, as well as four tackles for loss and a sack.

The 27-year-old had more tackles (90) in 2022 in 14 games, than he did playing a full season in 2021 of 17 games (77 tackles).

Re-signing Vander Esch was the Cowboys third big move of the day, after bringing back safety Donovan Wilson on a three-year deal, and trading for star corner, Stephon Gilmore.
