The Cowboys will be sending a fifth-round compensatory pick back to the Colts in exchange for Gilmore.

Gilmore, 32, comes to Dallas as a former Super Bowl Champion (LIII), NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2019), and a two-time All NFL Defensive First Team member.

He has also been selected to five Pro Bowls in his career, and led the NFL in interceptions in 2019.

In his career, Gilmore has accumulated 493 tackles, 127 pass deflections, 29 interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, one sack, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Gilmore began his career in 2012 with the Buffalo Bills, where he spent five seasons before moving on to New England.

During his four years with the Patriots, Gilmore's career took off, with the majority of his accolades coming during that time.

He was also named to the Patriots All-Dynasty Team and All 2010's Team during that stretch.

After his time with New England, Gilmore was traded to Carolina, where he spent one season.

Gilmore then signed a two-year $23 million deal with the Colts, finishing the year with 11 pass deflections and two interceptions.

He is also still recognized as one of the best defensive backs in today's NFL.
