DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys selected Fresno State cornerback DaRon Bland with the No. 167 overall pick in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft on Saturday.
Bland, one of the Cowboys' official 30 visits in the pre-draft process, appeared in all 13 games (9 starts) with the Bulldogs in 2021, totaling 45 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
Bland, 6'2" and 200 pounds, transferred to Fresno State after spending four years at Sacramento State. He played the first three seasons with the Hornets before their 2020 season was wiped out by COVID. He received a COVID transfer waiver and moved on to Fresno State the following season.
