DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys may have suffered a serious setback on Wednesday when star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence was reportedly forced to exit practice with a foot injury.
Following the injury, Lawrence was listed as a limited participant on the injury report, with the Cowboys canceling their post-practice press conference soon after.
Lawrence's injury was later reported as a broken foot by WFAA's Joe Trahan. Should Trahan's report be correct, Lawrence could be sidelined for up to six to eight weeks.
Lawrence took to Twitter to respond to the diagnosis, and echoed confidence in a full return.
Dallas is already at risk of being without their other starting defensive end, Randy Gregory, who was added to the COVID-19 list this week after a positive test.
Should the Cowboys be without Lawrence on Sunday, the top pass rushers on the depth chart would be relatively inexperienced, led by veterans Terrell Basham and Dorance Armstrong, with second-year defensive end Bradlee Anae and rookie Chauncey Golston as the reserves.

However, Dallas could still possibly receive some good news on the Gregory front, should he post two consecutive negative tests within 24 hours of each other prior to Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Cowboys and Chargers will kick off at 3:25 PM on Sunday from SoFi Stadium.
