DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Cowboys are 2-1 and cornerback Trevon Diggs has been a vital part of their success.

The NFL awarded Diggs with his stellar play when they named him the NFC's Defensive Player of the Month on Thursday after he recorded an interception in each of the Cowboys' first three games. That matches his team-best mark of three interceptions in 2020 (12 games played).

Following his 59-yard interception return for a touchdown on Monday Night Football against the Eagles, Diggs joined former Cowboys' great Everson Walls as the only players in franchise history to have an interception in the first three games of a season.

Diggs has clearly become the Cowboys' best corner after the organization selected him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Alabama. While he shouldn't be crowned as one of the league's elite defensive backs, he certainly appears to be on his way.

And the NFL has clearly taken notice.
