MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES ANNOUNCE GRIZZ WEEK EVENTS
– Seven Days of Festivities to Lead into Opening Night –
Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Grizzlies are celebrating the start of a new season with Grizz Week, presented by Coca-Cola, in advance of the 2025-26 regular season home opener at FedExForum on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m.
Leading into Opening Night, presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners, Grizz Week will be action-packed with events throughout the Mid-South, giving fans the opportunity to pick up Grizzlies swag and enter for the chance to win tickets to Opening Night.
Grizz Week will tip-off on Thursday, Oct. 16, with the Memphis City Beautiful Downtown Cleanup, as Grizzlies volunteers will assist in a public street cleanup around FedExForum, with festivities continuing later that evening at The Grove at GPAC. On Friday, Oct. 17, the Grizzlies will hand out swag and get fans excited for the upcoming season at Overton Park Shell from 6-7:30 p.m. before the Overton Park Shell Free Concert Series. The Grizzlies Claw Crew will be on site at Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo, also on Friday, Oct. 17, from 6-9:30 p.m.
Fans can join the Grizzlies at Boo at the Ballpark, a first-time, free Halloween festival starting at noon on Saturday, Oct. 18, at AutoZone Park. Fans in attendance can take part in Halloween-themed activities such as trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, costume contests and more. Grizz fans can also participate in the Le Bonheur Pumpkin Run on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 1000 Ridgeway Loop from 8-10 a.m. The following week, the Claw Crew will be at the Chick-Fil-A Superhero Fall Festival at Landers Center on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Ahead of Opening Night, the Grizzlies are offering a 25 for $25 deal, allowing Grizz Nation to purchase $25 tickets to the first three home games of the 2025-26 season in honor of the Grizzlies’ 25th season in Memphis. Fans who participate in the 25 for $25 offer will receive tickets on Terrace Level to watch the Grizzlies face the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, Oct. 22, on Opening Night; the Miami Heat on Friday, Oct. 24; and the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, Oct. 25. Fans can also purchase a three-game mini pack to see the Grizzlies, which includes tickets to Opening Night, as well as the Grizzlies’ two Emirates NBA Cup 2025 home matchups on Friday, Oct. 31, against the Los Angeles Lakers and Friday, Nov. 7, against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Grizzlies are encouraging all school districts to participate in Grizzlies School Spirit Day on Wednesday, Oct. 22, showcasing their Grizz Week spirit by posting creative videos on social media. From chants and dances to school-wide celebrations, the top posts that tag @memgrizz and use the hashtag #GrizzSpirit will be eligible to win a Grizzlies Turn Up Box. Additionally, the Grizzlies will highlight and reward four teachers or principals across Memphis Shelby-County Schools whose students are consistently showing up to school as part of the team’s “Show Up” initiative.
All Grizzlies fans are encouraged to represent the team on Wednesday, Oct. 22, by wearing their best Grizz gear. Fans can highlight their Grizz Week participation by posting across all social media platforms, tagging @memgrizz and using the hashtag #GrizzSpirit with select posts to be reshared by the Grizzlies social media accounts.
The Grizzlies will host a Plaza Party on the Big River Steel Plaza on Wednesday, Oct. 22, prior to tip-off on Opening Night from 5-7 p.m. The Plaza Party will feature live music, inflatables, face painting, balloon artists and more. Full details regarding Opening Night will be announced at a later date.
