The 2022 Major League Baseball trade deadline is this Tuesday, August 2nd, at 5:00 p.m. (CST). The St. Louis Cardinals are considered "in the mix" for potential trades with the Nationals for Juan Soto or even Angels mega-star Shohei Ohtani. Saturday the Cardinals started their positioning in the trade market, and for the future, by recalling Paul DeJong back up to St. Louis. DeJong had 201 at-bats averaging .249 while getting his power-stroke bad in Memphis with 17 home runs and 54 RBIs.
