There's been a new development in the domestic violence case against Marcell Ozuna as the prosecutors announced on Thursday they will no longer be pursuing felony charges against Ozuna.
One of the reasons given is the police's body cam videos and what the prosecution saw when they looked at the footage.
Even with the change in the legal aspect of the case, MLB has not made any adjustments at the moment and if they do, they won't necessarily be tied to the courtroom's decision.
Many felt that Marcell Ozuna would never take the field for the Braves again, but the recent developments in the case do have fans wondering if Ozuna might not just return to the Braves, but do so sooner than expected.
Despite the news of Thursday afternoon, there is no real shift in the eyes of Braves Beat Writer Dave O'Brien, who explained that MLB already has set a precedent for similar situations.
There's certainly more questions now about Ozuna and if we ever see him as a Braves player again, but it would still be quite a surprise to see him at any point the rest of this current season.
