When Sam & Greg joked with Mr. Harris that he had to help pack and move boxes on what should be his day to sit back and relax, the proud father responded, “This is totally worth it.”

The journey to helping the Braves’ newest outfielder find his first apartment began with a late night phone call on Friday May 27, when young Michael called both his parents to inform them that he was getting called up to the majors and not Triple-A Gwinnett.

“I thought about it for 2-3 minutes, and realized, he’s for real” said Mr. Harris to Sam & Greg when explaining to the guys his initial response to receiving that call while resting in bed.

“I’m not going to work, I’m picking my son up at the airport” was what passed through his mind next Mr. Harris explained to Sam & Greg.

Nearly a month has passed since that surprise call Harris II made to his parents, and in that time the Atlanta Braves have turned their season completely around behind the spark on both offense and defense that Michael has helped provide.

How does it feel to watch his son perform so well on the big stage of the major leagues?

“Just seeing my son live his dream, makes me so proud”, was all Mr. Harris had to say.
