Atlanta Braves outfielder/designated hitter Jurickson Profar has been suspended for 162 games following a second violation of Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Profar previously served an 80-game suspension last season shortly after signing with Atlanta as a free agent.

The Braves inked Profar to a three-year, $42 million deal following a career year with the San Diego Padres, but the signing has quickly unraveled. With the full-season suspension, Profar will forfeit the $15 million he was scheduled to earn this year, casting serious doubt on the long-term value of the contract and leaving the Braves without a key offseason addition for the entirety of the season.
