As the MLB lockout continues so do free agency rumors around Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman and who may pursue him once the lockout ends.

The latest rumors are from Audacy.com MLB insider Jon Heyman who says the Yankees will pursue the former MVP. Dukes & Bell talked about whether it’s time for Braves fans to prepare for life without Freddie Freeman?
Carl thinks fans don’t need to panic about Freeman’s future with the team.
“I know when you hear the Yankees you always think, they’re just gonna give him a pile of money, Freddie’s gonna go. Remember Brian McCann went, different situation,” Dukes said. “So I think we need to pause for a second because you see this stuff and people automatically assume that Freddie is gonna go once the lockout is over.”
Dukes said he thinks that a verbal agreement could have been reached between the Braves and Freeman before the lockout.
“Again, we don’t know how this is going to play out, but this is all in the Braves hands, it really is," Dukes said. "If the Braves were smart, and I think they are, and I think Alex Anthopoulos is one of the top general managers in baseball. And I’ve thought that since he's gotten here guys, we’ve had a winning franchise, he’s been in the playoffs, we’ve won our division three straight years, he knows what he’s doing, those trades that paid off.

"I think there’s a foundational deal in place. Hey, we know we’re going to a lockout this is what we’re looking at, this is the range, Freddie once this thing is done we’ll work it out. And Freddie goes ‘OK’, that’s what I’m hoping.”
