On Wednesday Andy & Randy were joined by Audacy NFL Insider Brian Baldinger who was asked about Cordarrelle Patterson returning to Atlanta Falcons practice today and what the running back room will look like once he returns.
“What did you notice that the offense was lacking without him (Patterson) there and what do you think he is going to be able to add back into it if he is able to go on Sunday?” Andy asked.
“Well I think Allgeier (Tyler Allgeier) and Huntley (Caleb Huntley) have been very good in combination since he (Patterson) has been out. I mean you can’t deny the effectiveness, they (Falcons) have still been running the ball pretty well,” Baldinger responded.
“What I think Cordarrelle (Patterson) gives you is more homerun hitting ability than either one of those guys and what he can do in the passing game…he is just a bigger threat. They (Falcons) become a more explosive team when he (Patterson) is healthy,” Baldinger added.
During the first four games of the season Patterson had 58 carries for 340 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns while surprisingly only having 4 catches for 28 yards.
The Falcons have designated for Patterson to return from IR, meaning they have 21 days to activate him.
The Falcons host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at 1pm with pregame coverage starting on 92.9 The Game at 11am.
You can hear Andy & Randy Monday-Friday from 11a-2p.
