PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – When the Panthers land a recruit, Pitt social media puts out a ‘Pat Signal’ to tell the fans a new player has committed. Now the ‘Pat Signal’ is out for the fans. Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi says they need you Saturday hosting Clemson Saturday at 3:30p.

“I hope Panther nation shows up,” Narduzzi said Monday.  “We hope it’s loud for them.  We hope (they) have some communication issues.”

Pitt (5-1 overall, 2-0 ACC) hasn’t had a sellout at Heinz Field since the Penn State game in September of 2018.  In the FCS Playoffs in 2020, Clemson is 4-2 with losses to number one Georgia and in double-overtime to number 18 North Carolina State.

“I ask the Panther faithful to come on out and get loud,” Narduzzi said.  “We need the home field advantage.”

Clemson has never played in Pittsburgh.  It’s the fifth ever meeting and third in the regular season.  The fourth time Narduzzi played against the Tigers, pulling the huge upset in 2016 when Clemson was unbeaten and ranked second in the nation.  The last two games, Pitt lost by a combined 94-27.

“Their team has never played here,” Narduzzi said.  “There is some home field advantage.  I’m sure they will be excited to play in a NFL stadium and put on a show.”

“It’s our house.  We need to play like it.”

“We got to cheer like it.”

“We got to show up like it.”
