The Penguins have re-signed forward Alex Nylander to a one-year deal.

The team announced the move on Monday. The contract is worth $750,000.
The 24-year-old was acquired by the Pens in early January after they traded Sam Lafferty to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Upon being acquired by the Penguins, Nylander was sent to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he had 16 goals and 16 assists in 44 games.
Nylander has 84 games of NHL experience between the Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres with 13 goals and 19 assists.
Buffalo drafted him 8th overall in 2016.
He is the son of former NHL center Michael Nylander and his brother William is a forward for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
