The NHL is releasing another round of Reverse Retro jersey for every team.
The league is working with Adidas to produce the jerseys.
The Penguins edition will be a black jersey and will feature the classic “robo-penguins” or “pigeon” logo uses in the early 1990s through the mid-2000s.
The new retro jerseys will be available on November 15.
The Penguins home whites, beginning in 1993, featured the “robo-penguin”
The team would add a third jersey a few seasons later that featured the “robo-penguin” with a gold and grey wrap around on either side of the logo.
The first Reverse Retro jersey was released in 2020. It was a white jersey with a diagonal “Pittsburgh” across the front.
Last season, the team brought back the black diagonal Pittsburgh lettering jersey, much to the delight of many fans.
The "robo-penguin" divided the fan base back in the early 90s with the organization changing the logo fresh off winning back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships.
When Mario Lemieux bought the Penguins, the team started to incorporate the skating Penguins in front of a gold background.
The team used a "Vegas Gold" in their uniforms until going back to the original black and gold in 2017.
The Penguins released when they'll be wearing their retro and third jerseys:
